# Custom Website Editor

A hosted [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) server that lets a non-technical pastor manage and update their professionally-built church website in plain English — no code, no logins, no jargon. Built and operated by Pastor Eli ([elijahdesent.com](https://www.elijahdesent.com)).

It connects to the live website's repository, so any change you describe is made for you and ships to the real site within about 30 seconds.

## What it does

- **Edit your site** — fix typos, reword a welcome message, update a service time, swap a heading, add a paragraph or a whole new page. It finds the right place, makes the exact edit, and publishes it with a clear, human-readable note.
- **Photos & videos** — add photos to a page; videos and large images are hosted on fast permanent storage and dropped onto the page you choose.
- **Undo & history** — see your recent updates in plain language and safely roll the live site back to how it was. Nothing is ever lost.
- **Deploy checks** — confirm a change went live, and if something breaks the build, it explains what happened in plain English and fixes it.
- **Custom domains** — connect your own domain (e.g. `yourchurch.org`) with the exact settings to enter at your registrar.
- **Hosting, live chat & analytics** — start monthly hosting, set up a live website chat widget, and see traffic, top pages, referrers, and day-by-day trends.
- **Website scoring** — score any church website against the Church Website Score rubric.

## Connection

- **Transport:** Streamable HTTP
- **Endpoint:** `https://www.elijahdesent.com/api/mcp`
- **Auth:** OAuth (discovered automatically from the endpoint)

The connection is secure and always live — reading and editing use the same authenticated link.
