Abtop is a terminal user interface tool written in Rust, using the Ratatui library, that monitors multiple AI coding agent sessions in real time from a single screen. It discovers Claude Code, Codex CLI, and OpenCode sessions automatically by reading local process and file state, requiring no API keys or authentication, and displays per-session metrics including token usage, context window percentage bars, rate limit status, child processes, open ports, git status, and current task. It connects to Claude Code specifically by scanning local session files and config directories such as `~/.claude`, and supports multiple Claude profiles simultaneously across macOS, Linux, and Windows. When run inside tmux, pressing Enter jumps directly to the terminal pane running the selected agent. A standout detail is orphan port detection, which flags servers that an agent spawned but never terminated. Developers running several concurrent Claude Code or Codex CLI sessions across projects are the primary audience, along with anyone needing to track context window consumption before hitting limits.
