Claude Usage Tracker is a native macOS menu bar application, built in Swift and SwiftUI, that monitors Claude AI usage limits in real time by reading session data from authenticated accounts. It tracks 5-hour session windows, weekly usage limits, Opus-specific consumption, API costs, and billing data, displaying color-coded indicators directly in the menu bar. The app connects to Claude through Claude Code CLI credentials, browser-based session key extraction, or manual session key entry, and it includes a terminal statusline component that surfaces model, context, and usage segments inside developer terminal environments. A standout feature is multi-profile support, which lets users manage unlimited Claude accounts simultaneously in the menu bar and auto-switch CLI credentials when changing profiles. Usage history is visualized through interactive charts, and smart automation handles auto-start sessions and threshold notifications. The app requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, stores all data locally, and is available via Homebrew. Developers, heavy Claude Code users, and anyone managing multiple Claude accounts will find the most utility here.
