An Agentic Framework for Reflective PowerPoint Generation
PPTAgent (now branded DeepPresenter) is a Python framework that generates complete PowerPoint presentations from source documents or research topics using a multi-agent pipeline. The system operates through two coordinated phases: an analysis stage that parses reference PPTX files to extract slide layouts and element schemas, and a generation stage that populates new slides with content drawn from uploaded PDFs, web research via Tavily search, or user-supplied text. The agent environment includes a sandbox with over 20 built-in tools covering tasks such as text-to-image generation, PDF parsing via MinerU, and autonomous asset creation. It exposes an MCP server for integration with Claude Desktop and compatible clients, and supports any OpenAI-compatible API endpoint, meaning Claude can serve as the underlying model. A fine-tuned 9-billion-parameter companion model called DeepPresenter-9B, available in full and GGUF quantized formats on HuggingFace, is recommended over general-purpose models for best output quality. Researchers, educators, and professionals who regularly convert dense documents or topics into structured slide decks are the primary audience.
