Tokscale is a Rust-based CLI tool and terminal dashboard for aggregating and visualizing token usage and estimated costs across more than a dozen AI coding agents, including Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, Cursor IDE, AmpCode, GitHub Copilot CLI, and OpenClaw. It reads local session data directly from each agent's storage paths, such as Claude Code's `~/.claude/projects/` directory, without requiring API keys or proxy configuration. The native Rust TUI (introduced in v2) surfaces breakdowns by model, daily summaries, and aggregate statistics in the terminal, while the companion web frontend at tokscale.ai renders a 3D contributions graph and hosts a global leaderboard that users can join by running `bunx tokscale@latest submit`. The tool benefits developers who use multiple AI coding assistants simultaneously and want a unified view of spending and consumption patterns across all of them without switching between individual dashboards.
