# Prominara MCP server

Remote MCP server for [Prominara](https://prominara.com), a GEO platform that tracks how often AI answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode) cite or mention your brand, which sources those answers rely on, and whether the content you ship changes that.

This repository holds the public listing for the server. The server itself is hosted; there is nothing to install or run from here.

## Configure

Add the server to your client, then sign in when prompted. The consent page lets you pick the organization and choose **read** or **read and write** access.

**Claude Code**

**Claude (web and desktop)**: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the server URL.

**ChatGPT**: Settings → Connectors → Advanced → enable developer mode → Create → paste the server URL.

**VS Code / GitHub Copilot**: add an HTTP MCP server with the URL above; you are asked to sign in the first time a tool runs.

## Tools

Read tools need the `read` scope. Write tools additionally need `write`, which you grant on the consent page.

| `prominara_list_prompts` | read | The questions you track for a site, with their panel, whether they are active and the latest result on each platform. |
| `prominara_get_answers` | read | What each AI platform actually answered for one prompt: mentions, citations, the sources it used and the history behind them. |
| `prominara_list_missions` | read | Your ranked to-do list: for every tracked question, the page that should own the answer and the next best action. |
| `prominara_sources` | read | The off-site pages AI answers cite in your category, which of them name you, and where a citation is worth earning. |
| `prominara_measurement` | read | The before-and-after verdict for each content change you logged, with its probability and observation window. |
| `prominara_suggest_prompts` | read | Drafted questions worth tracking for a site, balanced across the buying journey, with a recommended set that fits your plan. |
