Claude Octopus is a Claude Code plugin that routes tasks across up to eight AI models simultaneously, including Codex, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Qwen, Ollama, Perplexity, and OpenRouter, treating Claude as the primary engine and the others as escalation targets. It ships with 49 slash commands, 32 role-specific personas such as security-auditor and backend-architect, and 54 reusable workflow modules organized around a four-phase Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver pipeline. A 75% consensus gate flags disagreements between providers before code reaches production, and the `/octo:council` command (added in v9.41) runs structured deliberations with configurable goal modes like decision or red-team and supports quorum plus critical-veto logic. Dark Factory mode accepts a spec and runs the full pipeline autonomously. Five of the supported providers, including Codex, Gemini, Qwen, Copilot, and Ollama, carry no additional cost beyond existing subscriptions. The plugin requires Claude Code v2.1.14 or later and suits developers, researchers, and designers who want adversarial cross-model review rather than a single model's judgment on high-stakes tasks.
