This repository is a reconstructed TypeScript source tree of Claude Code, reverse-engineered primarily from source maps with missing modules replaced by compatibility shims or degraded fallback implementations. Developers can install it using Bun 1.3.5 or newer and run the restored CLI via `bun run dev`, which now routes through the real CLI bootstrap rather than a temporary entry shim. The restoration recovers bundled skill content for `claude-api` and `verify`, compatibility layers for Chrome MCP and Computer Use MCP that expose realistic tool catalogs, and working fallback prompts for planning and permission-classifier flows. A notable addition beyond the original source-map reconstruction is a multi-provider path supporting `github-models` and `github-copilot` endpoints, allowing the Claude Code runtime to run against GitHub-hosted Claude models including claude-sonnet-4.6 and claude-opus-4.6, with provider switching available via the `/provider` command inside the CLI. The project targets developers who want to study, modify, or locally run Claude Code outside Anthropic's official distribution, with the caveat that private native integrations remain unrecoverable and still rely on shims.
