### What Amazon data does Trends API provide?

Product search volume over time (normalized 0-100), growth over 3M/6M/12M/5Y windows, and two live feeds: Amazon Best Sellers Top Rated and Best Sellers by Category.

### Do I need an Amazon seller or PA-API account?

No. There is no Amazon-side credential at all. One Trends API key covers Amazon and every other source.

### How is this different from Keepa or Helium 10?

Those tools track listing-level price and rank history. Trends API tracks the demand side - how often people search for a product or category - normalized so you can compare it against Google, TikTok and YouTube demand in the same units.

### Can I compare a product's Amazon demand with its TikTok buzz?

Yes. Query the same keyword on `amazon` and `tiktok` and compare normalized scores or growth percentages directly. TikTok typically leads Amazon by several weeks.

### How far back does the history go?

Up to 5 years of weekly data on paid plans; 90 days on the free tier.
