TuriX is an open-source computer-use agent that executes natural-language instructions directly on a desktop by controlling the GUI through mouse clicks, keyboard input, and screen observation rather than application-specific APIs. It targets macOS 15 and later as its primary platform, with additional branches for Windows and Linux, and ships a Python-based runtime configured via a single `config.json` file. The default vision-language model achieves 64.2% on the OSWorld benchmark and 80% on an internal Mac benchmark, and the model can be swapped for alternatives including Qwen3-VL or local Ollama models without code changes. Integration with Claude happens through MCP: Claude Desktop can call TuriX as an MCP tool, allowing Claude to delegate GUI tasks such as researching news and writing results to a Pages document. The project also publishes an OpenClaw skill on ClawHub for use as a subagent. The SuperPower 3.0 app bundles a CLI workflow alongside the GUI agent, adding dedicated TuriX-work and TuriX-code modules for office automation and coding tasks respectively. Developers, researchers, and power users who want AI-driven desktop automation without relying on proprietary RPA tooling are the primary audience.
