# Personal Brand Monetize (Global) — Funnels, Offers, Tax/Legal

> Build authority -> earn trust -> close revenue. This skill focuses on step 3 (close revenue) after you have context (skill 22), strategy, and content. Three funnels for founder / coach / creator archetypes plus region-specific tax and legal guidance.

## For newbies

### When to start monetizing

DO NOT monetize too early. Wait for these 3 conditions before launching your first offer:

1. **Audience of 1,000+ quality followers** — engagement above 3%, thoughtful comments, DMs asking specific questions
2. **Locked-in pillar and niche** — you know exactly "who you help with what" (see skill 22). Example: "Pricing coach for 1-on-1 coaches scaling to premium prices" — NOT vague "personal branding coach"
3. **Real proof** — past projects with ROI for clients, managed a meaningful budget, shipped 50+ long-form pieces

### 5 common monetization mistakes

1. **Launching an offer before having an audience** — pre-launch course with zero followers -> zero sales
2. **Pricing too low** — $19 course in 4 modules -> audience reads it as "cheap" -> trust evaporates
3. **No offer ladder** — only one $2,000 product, audience not ready to pay -> lost lead
4. **Constant discounting** — pre-order 50% off -> late buyers wait for sales -> audience trained to wait
5. **No focus** — running coaching + course + affiliate + brand deals at once -> nothing reaches scale

### Realistic time investment

- **Build audience phase 1:** 6-12 months (0 -> 1,000 quality followers)
- **Soft launch first offer:** 2-3 months after audience stabilizes
- **Stable monetization:** 12-18 months after starting personal brand
- This is NOT "make money fast" — it's a long-term asset, with the highest ROI hitting in years 2-3

## Information collection (4 questions max)

Ask up to 4 questions before recommending a funnel:

1. **Current audience size?** Total followers + email list + primary platform (LinkedIn / FB / TikTok / IG / X / Newsletter)
2. **Specific niche?** The topic you own (example: "marketing for SME f&b in [region]" — NOT vague "marketing")
3. **Current revenue from personal brand?** Are you selling anything yet? Price? Volume? (so we know the starting line)
4. **12-month target?** Monthly income target + hours/week willing to invest
