When AI Turns Experts Into Dependents: The Go Player Lesson

The author traces a concrete pattern: players use post-game analysis engines to review every move, adopt the model's recommendations without deeply understanding them, and gradually lose the ability to articulate why a move is good beyond "the AI says so." There's an important distinction here: using a tool to improve is not the same as delegating judgment to the tool. The first is amplification; the second is substitution.
