Native macOS menu bar app to use your Claude Code & ChatGPT subscriptions with AI coding tools - no API keys needed

Editor's note

VibeProxy is a native macOS menu bar application, written in Swift, that runs a local proxy server allowing developers to use their existing Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, Kimi, Qwen, Antigravity, and Z.AI GLM subscriptions with AI coding tools such as Factory Droids and Amp CLI, without requiring separate API keys. Built on top of CLIProxyAPIPlus, it handles OAuth authentication and token management for each provider automatically, storing credentials in ~/.cli-proxy-api/ and routing requests through a locally running server that third-party tools treat as a standard API endpoint. Claude Code connects via its CLI interface rather than through MCP or the direct Anthropic API. A notable feature is optional routing of Claude requests through Vercel's AI Gateway, which reduces the account risk associated with direct OAuth token use. Multi-account support with round-robin distribution and automatic failover is included, as is a Sparkle-based auto-updater introduced in version 1.6. The tool targets macOS 13 or later and ships as a code-signed, notarized application.
