SocratiCode is a TypeScript MCP server and native Claude Code plugin that builds a deep, local index of a codebase and exposes that knowledge to AI assistants through a suite of structured tools. It combines hybrid semantic and BM25 search (fused via Reciprocal Rank Fusion), AST-aware code chunking, polyglot dependency graphs, and symbol-level impact and call-flow analysis, with an interactive HTML graph viewer for visual navigation. Context artifacts such as database schemas, API specifications, and infrastructure configs are also indexed and searchable. The server connects to Claude Code as a native plugin and to any MCP-compatible host, and manages a local Docker-based Qdrant vector store with zero configuration, resumable indexing checkpoints, and a file watcher that keeps the index current across sessions. It supports multi-repo and multi-branch indexing, and because it pre-computes blast radius and dependency traversal, the README reports 61 percent fewer tokens consumed and 37 times faster responses compared to naive context loading.
