essays-in-persuasion-keynes

This skill applies John Maynard Keynes's macroeconomic policy reasoning from *Essays in Persuasion* to questions about austerity, inflation versus deflation, and economic crises. It routes inquiries about sovereign debt, fixed exchange rates, aggregate demand, and economic persuasion to specialized subskills that analyze policy mechanisms using Keynesian frameworks, current data, and historical parallels to generate diagnostics and evidence-based verdicts on fiscal and monetary interventions.

# Essays in Persuasion: Keynes Policy Reasoning Orchestrator

## Skill Purpose

Apply John Maynard Keynes's policy reasoning from *Essays in Persuasion* to contemporary macroeconomic questions. This is a modular skill because users may ask separate, independently triggered questions about debt capacity, inflation versus deflation, fixed exchange-rate traps, demand shortfalls, or economic persuasion.

## Routing Rules

| User intent | Route to |
|---|---|
| Sovereign debt, reparations, sanctions, fiscal capacity, creditor demands | `subskills/transfer-problem.md` |
| Inflation, deflation, unemployment tradeoffs, real debt burdens | `subskills/inflation-deflation.md` |
| Gold standard, currency pegs, euro constraints, devaluation | `subskills/fixed-rate-trap.md` |
| Recession, austerity, stimulus, liquidity trap, animal spirits | `subskills/aggregate-demand.md` |
| Critique or write an economic argument meant to persuade | `subskills/economic-persuasion.md` |

## Execution Rules

1. Identify the user's concrete policy question and economic context.
2. Route to the smallest relevant subskill; combine subskills only when the question spans mechanisms.
3. Use current data when the user asks about a present economy or market.
4. Distinguish short-run consequences from long-run equilibrium claims.
5. State what evidence would change the verdict.

## Multi-Module Output Format

- Diagnosis line: identify the policy problem.
- Routed module(s): name the Keynesian lens used.
- Evidence: 2-3 data points or historical parallels.
- Verdict: recommendation with caveats.
- Revision condition: what would make the answer change.

## Subskill Status

All subskills are required and present in `subskills/`.

## CITATION RULES

Use quotes only when the user asks for source grounding or when a claim needs attribution. Reference quote anchors by topic file and anchor. Keep quoted excerpts short.

## Critical Reminders

- Judge policy by real output, employment, price, and distributional consequences.
- Do not turn Keynes into a universal pro-stimulus slogan; context determines the prescription.
- Do not reproduce long source passages.
agent-memory-implementationSkill

Restructures a chaotic or overgrown MEMORY.md into a clean 2-layer architecture based on how Claude Code's autoDream system organizes memory — a lightweight pointer index (always loaded) and topic files (loaded on demand). Stale or superseded memories are deleted or corrected in place — not archived. Use this skill whenever the user says \"clean up MEMORY.md\", \"reorganize my memory files\", \"MEMORY.md is getting too long\", \"fix my memory structure\", or when you observe that MEMORY.md exceeds 200 lines, contains full paragraphs instead of pointers, or mixes index entries with topic content.

agent-tool-builderSkill

Define agent tools using the fail-closed design pattern — unified name/schema/security/execution in one class, with three-layer execution (validate → permission → call). Use this skill whenever the user wants to define a new agent tool, add permission or validation logic to an existing tool, or asks about 'build a tool', '定义一个工具', 'create a tool for X', '工具定义'. Framework-agnostic: works with hermes-agent, LangChain, or any Python agent framework.

analyzing-financial-reportsSkill

Analyzes Chinese public company financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) to assess asset quality, profit authenticity, cash flow health, solvency, and overall investment value. Use when the user provides financial data or a company name and asks whether financials are healthy, whether profits are real, whether there are red flags, or whether the company is a good investment. Based on the book "一本书读懂财报" by Xiao Xing (Tsinghua University).

compact-memory-implementationSkill

Developer implementation guide for adding compact memory to an Agent — covers fork agent pattern for compaction, trigger strategy, summary format design, and memory restoration in subsequent sessions. Use when a developer asks how to implement compact memory, context compression, or memory persistence in their agent built with Claude Agent SDK or Anthropic API.
