Skillshare is a Go-based CLI tool that maintains a single source directory of skills, agents, and extras (rules, commands, prompts) and synchronizes them to over 60 AI CLI tools, including Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, and Cursor, using symlinks on macOS/Linux and NTFS junctions on Windows. Running `skillshare sync` propagates everything from `~/.config/skillshare/` to each registered target without requiring Node.js or any external registry. The tool connects to Claude Code specifically by writing skills into its expected directory structure, making it straightforward to keep Claude Code's custom commands consistent across machines and teams. A built-in `audit` command scans skills for prompt injection and data exfiltration risks before deployment, which is a concrete security layer absent from manual install workflows. An optional `skillshare ui` command launches a local web dashboard for browsing and managing skills visually. Teams and individual developers maintaining consistent AI workflows across multiple tools and machines are the primary audience.
